about me
coastal-loving pop culture addict, amateur genealogist, political wonk wannabe, and recovering overachiever & people pleaser with a crazy passion for learning new things. powered by diet dr. pepper, laughter, watermelon, cheese, tubies, and pb&j on an onion bun.
feminist. humanist. leader. child advocate. accidental techie. nonprofit devotee. joiner. predictably unpredictable. snarky. optimistic cynic. friend. daughter. fan of cookie monster, bette davis & the beatles. opinionated. snarky. stubborn. generous. fiercely protective of those I love. trojan fan. mac loyalist. introvert & recluse at heart. determined to sometimes lead the parade, sometimes just be a part of it – but never let it pass me by.
but, wait… there’s more! fascinating stuff, i know. just a click away….
| typical libra, i have to weigh every decision – from where to work to what’s for dinner. if i’m not careful, that always leads to sheer madness – especially when in the company of other libras!i can be the most loyal, devoted friend you’ve got, but betray me and, in the immortal words of joan crawford: “don’t f**k with me, fellas!” i try to see the best in everyone, until i’m given a reason not to. i love to laugh – at myself and at others. i’m lucky enough to be surrounded by quality people who keep me in line, build me up, but catch me when i fall and absolutely refuse to let me take myself too seriously.i have no patience for bullcrap, intolerance, closed-mindedness, hypocrisy, or pettiness. mean people truly suck. i can be the most faboo, amiable, fun person to be around – until i’m not. then i’m a crabby, bitchy mess. not enough sleep and i’m a walking time bomb.
i want to save the world – or at least my small little part of it. i can’t resist the big no-no’s of civilized conversation: politics, religion, the usc/ucla rivalry, and why macos is way better than windows. i often offer unsolicited rants on matters of not necessarily any importance to anyone. i love a good political debate – and will end my days trying to figure out the american public.
i have an affinity for birkenstocks and handbags – one can never have enough of either. i love history – my family history (have i got stories for you!), women’s history, american history. i have a taste for watermelon, good vodka (well, not horrid), and diet dr. pepper – not necessarily together, and not necessarily in that order. i love usc football, though i still don’t understand the rules of the game, and i have an arguably unhealthy fascination with 1/2 hour reality tv and soaps of the 80s and 90s. |
