What is with this guy? According to a post on Hil’s blog, he applauded medical research as statistics came out in January that U.S. cancer deaths fell in ’04 for the second year in a row. Then, of course, just three weeks later, he asks Congress to trim $11 million from the Nat’l Cancer Institute budget, on top of $32 million in cuts over the previous two years.

‘Cuz that makes sense. Once we have a little success, let’s go in and take away the funding so we ensure it doesn’t continue or that we don’t build on that success. If only he applied this logic to the mess he’s created in Iraq, but that’s another post for another day…….

I swear, if I hadn’t already given out a dumbass award this month…… But, never fear, there are many, many months left in his Presidency. I’m sure he’ll give me another opportunity to honor him.
